"That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown."
Okay, so I recompiled Christmas 2005. Originally the idea was to dump the Hippopotamus song - the only one repeated from Christmas 2002 - in favor of FFT's "Antidote," but the following series of events happened:
1) I remembered that FFTA and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together also have snow battle themes.
2) I realized the version of "Christmastime is Here" that I had was an instrumental-only version, and while a six-minute track would've been fine if it had the words, this was six minutes of music that didn't GO anywhere.
3) I checked the TO:LUCT PSF archive and found out that "Song of Tundra" doesn't actually sound snowy the way the FFT and FFTA tracks do.
4) I ditched "Christmastime is Here" and was able to integrate "Antidote" AND "Snow Dancing in the Schoolyard" WITHOUT having to get rid of the Hippopotamus song.
So now - it's not only that I can make Christmas mix CDs that range from Nat King Cole and "Adeste Fideles" all the way to music from a Katamari game, but I can ALSO toss Hitoshi Sakimoto on without missing a step. yay.
