When Monday's PA newspost involved Gabe saying that Tycho had a really good reason for being late to the office, and Tycho followed it up later with something along the lines of it having been one of the worst days of his life, to me there were very few logical scenarios, and the most obvious, I thought, was that something was wrong with Brenna and/or the baby.
Today's newspost confirms that it was, in fact, both. Gabe later said Brenna is okay and the baby is "still in there cooking and doing baby stuff," but I hate being right.
For the record, I still say Tycho and Brenna are going to have a girl, who will marry Baby Gabe in about twenty years and produce a pure-blooded strain of gaming geeks to rule over us all.
Other notes:
- Need to start taking slippers to work to wear under my desk, because the building is WAY too cold. And copy paper feels cold and damp, which wreaks havoc with the copier and folding machine. >_>
- Let's discuss what's wrong with this excerpt from an Associated Press story about college football: "I always thought it was incredibly ridiculous to try to shorten the games," Leach said. "The people who think the game's are too long can shut their TV's off."
- Finally,
I am mean. Edit: I just finished reading Women Who Kept the Lights, and it is genuinely fascinating, with only one proofreading issue ("principle" for "principal," in the appendix). Beth, Jeff, and Aaron have first dibs on borrowing it, followed by Cham, followed by the rest of the gang from the 'Haute.
