Now remember, Harry Potter is attending witchcraft school. O’Brien then describes a shocking and terrifying scene:

“In one class, the students are taught to cut up mandrake roots, which are living human babies, for use in a potion. At the least this can cause a subconscious desensitization to abortion.”

This excerpt taken from a theological "scholar". Now, understandably, I think the word scholar not only suggests that you should excercise logic and a little complex understanding, but I think a bit of common sense should be added to the equation as well. I mean, I can't remember the last 11 year that came up to me and insisted "I am desensitized to abortion because of Harry Potter." I don't even think most kids of that age bear a clear understanding of abortion anyways.

But anyhow, it did make for an amusing little discourse during my morning reading.

On a somewhat more melancholy note my poor car is totalled, but I knew that anways from the way the wreckage looked, mangled and such. I am trying to no avail to convince my dad that the surest remedy to the situation involves the immediate procurement of a Lotus Elise.
