This week's bad baby names

May 13, 2009 11:23

Finally, a treasure trove of trashy tags! This week there was an original theme - that of people using clearly masculine names for baby girls. This is witnessed in poor "Mattingly", "Adonis" and "Sawyer" (oddly the amount of female "Aubrey"s seems to have dropped off). There were the usual mispelled words, such as poor "Manual", and words-that-shouldn't-be-names, such as "Bless" and "Easton Crew". Of course the inevitable what-were-you-thinking category had no shortage of fodder, including poor little "Dodie" (female), "Loki" (isn't that a fallen angel?) and my personal fave, the unfortunate "Baby Boy Wise". Someone tried to be clever naming their offspring "Barrack-Kennedy" (we get it, you're a democrat). And I can't help but wonder about the situation leading to the child with the last name "Ortiz-Ortiz". Everyone keep your eye on Rochester for news of a flipper baby.
