I'm Home

Ah! Le Lac etait beau! But I am now ridden with chigger bites. And they're not on my legs, no, they're on my arms and my hands. This is torture. I have little nasty red pumps on my knuckles, it makes it very hard to do...well, anything, really.

I'm glad to be home, but sometimes it's nice to get away to a green place. It really is awesome out there. And we've made almost official plans to go to Florida! I've been very lucky this summer; Las Vegas, the lake, and now, maybe Florida. Of course, the family is still scattered to the wind across the states, but hey, we'll get together eventually. And my aunt and uncle are moving...le sigh.

They've been trying to have kids. I know that's a completely non-linear turn, but it's been on my mind. I think it's just great, and I really hope it happens for them. But I get the feeling that they're perhaps wondering whether or not it's going to happen? Hm. I'm sending positive energy out there, as my other, far more spacey aunt would say. In my opinion, it's all just praying.

Yeah, this post is pointless, just me letting off some steam from a long day of driving, in which my Dad almost got us killed. Twice. First time wasn't his fault, we were driving through the country on those little two lane highways, and a truck way in front of us, going the opposite direction, was trying to pass a person in front of him. Well, they're driving eighty towards us, we're trying eighty towards them, everything kind of slows down and then whoosh, Dad gets on the shoulder and the idiot gets passed the other car.

Second time, though. Dad just plumb fell asleep. (I said plumb. The country must affect me more than I previously thought.) We neraly went off the road, would have if it weren't for that loud groaning noise the shoulder makes when you drive on it.

So. Fun times on back highways. And I don't have to go to work until Friday! And I get a massage on Thursday! And I'm getting together with the Photographer on Wednesday! Life is sweet, thank the Lord. Now, to meander through my friends list...
