New Dress! *Much Joy*

I am . . . alone tonight?

Btw, Kat, if you happen to come back tonight, do not step on the newly laid tiles. There aren't that many, but it would be a shame to move those that have been laid. There are new ones in the kitchen and at the door. If you see grey around the edges, that's how you tell. Also, if there is an item laid on a random tile, do not move it, it's probably laid on a tile that replaced a broken tile.

In other news, I went to the mall today (I would've invited you Kat, but the way you were sleeping I figured you weren't feeling too well).

Luckily, my brother was kind enough to come (I hate driving alone) and he even watched me try on clothing.

I still have not tried on the pants that I wanted to try on, but I did try on the boots.

Sadly, the boots rubbed against my heels too much. I could not get them. But now I have a very nice pair of comfortable, black dress shoes. Boots will have to come later.

I went to Goody's, also. Jay tried to dissuade me ("Alicia! There's a reason why Kat and Jen told you that's a 'Mom' store. There's a reason why Grandma always shops there!") but I went anyway. Regardless of what is generally found in there, there's always a few nice things. I found a nice dark brown sweater, and (though I did not need one and it's completely out of season) the most beautiful dress!

When I went to try these things on, Jay could only shake his head. But then I tried them on. First the sweater. He had to admit that looked nice. Then the dress, one of those near impossible dresses that you can't figure out how to get on. It's pink, wraps around the ribs, and flares out into the skirt and goes a little past the knees. Unfortunately, it's going to require a low-back slip (preferably pink), but I have all winter to find one.

I didn't need one, I really didn't. I have tons and tons of dresses. Probably more dresses than anything else, and they're all spring dresses and formal dresses (this dress being a little of both). I have enough dresses to wear one every day of the week, and with the addition of this new one, three of them are pink (I'm still not certain when I began liking pink).

But it was only $15, and Jay helped me make the decision by asking me the all-important question, "do any of your other dresses look this good on you?" Heh. Nope. Not even the black one, for all of its flattery, and this one is far more comfortable.

It makes me feel pretty. I wish I had a picture so I could post it.
