I'm here, I'm reading LJ, I'm trying to get my life in order, and at some point I will feel competent to start posting about something of substance again.
In the meantime, I had a lovely time in Canberra over Christmas. I got to eat both "normal" raspberries (my parents grow some) and native raspberries, which were in a profusion my parents had not previously seen. I caught up with friends, went to Questacon and the National Museum (Darwin exhibition), went sale shopping, and read philosophy of science.
I discovered why it is that I always feel compelled to enter remainder, bare-bones bookshops - there's one of those in Canberra, and they have a large selection of academic remainders. So I bought about four times as many books as I normally buy in one of those shops in Brisbane, and the excess were all science books.
christmas,
update,
books,
food free for the picking
