Saw INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (George, please name things better. Please.) and IRON MAN, which were both quite fun and enjoyable, though the latter made me want a crossover with Good Omens. And that one thing, that I didn't notice throughout the entire movie (mostly because I am lazy) - well, I've thought about it, and decided that it is awesome, because of intertextual convergence.
On that note, Convergence Culture by Henry Jenkins is interesting, primarily because he's very well aware of how old media is struggling to stay in control while new media wants to open all the gates. He also poses an interesting argument about the advantages of writing fanfiction over traditional classroom learning in terms of developing reading and writing skills.
In other news, the House and the Bones season finales have given me the blues - why do writers want to make the characters I love suffer? - so I'm going to cheer myself up with the most delicious bread on the face of this planet. No, I'm not going to ship any to you. I'm done with UPS - or rather, my back is done. Which is completely tangential to the subject at hand, but I felt like sharing.
