I don't know much but I will be selling some stuff on Etsy.com or Ebay(you can open and Ebay store if you want to go that route). I guess all depends on what you're selling there's some host sites out there that can help you. I'll ask a friend who just recently opened up her own online store.

You might have to file out an LLC.

Well, I've been selling on etsy since august now, not enough to live off of, but sales are steady.

Not sure if that qualifies me as "knowledgeable" though. I still need to register as a legit business and learn about taxes + whatnot for next year.
