"Hey aren't you...."
Today was interesting at Best Buy. I was helping a male customer that I have seen in the store before, and he had looked familiar, upon closer expectation as I handed him the soundtrack that he wanted, he resembled a close friend that I had back at Stephen Foster Elementary. Little nervous, because I would feel dumb if I was wrong I asked him, “your name doesn’t happen to be Kenny does it? He was like “yeah.” So I preceded in asking him if he remembered me, after like three awkward seconds of silence he was like “CORY!?” and I was like “yup.” And so we shook each others hands and talked a little about our lives. I haven’t seen him since 4th grade, which made it amazing that I still recognized him, especially when he had a beanie on. It turned out that he graduated Milikin High School, so he had been in the area the whole time. It was very awesome seeing someone that I haven’t seen in 10+ years, a little scary come to find his “little sister” now has a baby, but that’s growing up I guess. I hope I run into him at Best Buy again.
