Fahrenheit 9/11 makes one dig deep into the archives of one’s soul and question why? Why the unnecessary blood shed? What freedoms are threatened so much that one is to give the utmost sacrifice of their life, the sacrifice of their freedom, for a cause that has been pushed into many corners like a child working a small start to finish labyrinth. The bread crumbs have been picked up since that shallow, hallow day that gives remembrance as a hole in an American’s hearts. September 11, 2001, the day of our generation that would remain one that would live in our infamy. I can still remember exactly where I was, and what I was doing when I first found out of the tragedy that had shaken me like nothing else had ever done.
Why are we attacking Iraq? Such a statement shouldn’t need a question mark. The dip in tone and the end of the sentence suggests question, confusion, ignorance of the important verb “to attack” and noun “Iraq” in the sentence. Why are we attacking Iraq! There that is appropriate. We should be fighting the bastards that destroyed the freedom and dreams of the thousands of Americans in September. Iraq has not shattered American’s attempt to live, to raise children, to find their way, and yet, shamefully we are shattering theirs. In complete honesty I, just like hundreds of other American’s became Iraqi an haters. Media images of one type of people of their country beheading innocent people in acts of coward ness is going to make anyone feel anger. But what are we doing to them? Liberating them in acts of freedom? Yes, I will concur that Sadism was a horrible leader for that country, killing thousands in his dictatorship. That is why the people of that country need to stand up themselves and say no more, and fight those who suppress them. I can think of a group of people, who did the same thing hundreds of years ago, and for that we have been given the freedom through red stripes and white stars. It was bloody, and didn’t seem to produce the correct concepts as years later that country fought a civil war, but now it is continuing to grow and develop. The Iraqi people need to do the same thing without us losing our men and women.
Al Quid a is responsible for 9/11. Go see Fahrenheit 9/11. I understand that it is biased one side. I’m not ignorant to that. But during a comparison of information biased going for Bush and the war and one side going against Bush and the war, my heart has to tell me that it is wrong, all of it, and God have mercy on this country for the ideals that they are making the child generation in Iraq, images of bloodshed, American soldiers killing their families, accidental, but nevertheless killing. Mark my words, the actions that are being taken now will find its way later into the future when that generation grows up, hating American even more so now. I am proud to be an American damnit, I support our troops, I want them alive or actually fighting for freedom if that is what is at stake. I am proud to be an American citizen….. I am not proud of having a deceitful president such that as president Bush… I will be voting for Kerry….
