Friday evening, while playing soccer with Evan, at Skillings, I made a plant with my right foot near the old pole-vault stand situated near the scoreboard (bear a right out from the tunnel). The cleats didn't catch, and in fact my whole body flipped, my left leg leading its way into the clear blue sky, while the left back of my head went toward the ground. To my detriment, my head didn't reach the ground, but collided with the metal frame of the aforementioned pole-vault stand. I was a bit confused, saw everything go black for a second, but in general felt okay while lying still on the ground beside the pit.
Evan was very concerned, I sort of expected to stop playing, but not to require much more attention, until I looked to see what I had hit, as Evan surveyed my head for blood. I had blood on my hands, and had lightly touched my forehead (which I think later threw off the ER people, when initially assessing the extent of my injury -- they thought I'd hit the front of my head, cause of the slight streaks of blood located there.)
I've much to write, but I think my head is starting to hurt from looking at this screen now.
see you,
