[After learning the true nature of his world, Archie's been training. His Pokemon team has been altered to include Crobat instead of Crawdaunt, and he's carrying a seventh Pokemon with him: the pink duck. Currently he only has Sharpedo out, and is giving the shark orders.]
Earthquake, again! [Sharpedo doesn't exactly look tired, but he's not quite

As common as it may be for him to frequent this beach, however, Maxie has to admit that the fact that he can sense tremors in the ground as he approaches isn't exactly something he's come to expect. Rather unusual, really; he smirks a bit at it. His double is probably here; training, from the feel of i-

...Archie.
[Well, that's certainly something, isn't it.]

Maxie. [Archie will at least nod in greeting before turning his attention back to Sharpedo. In fact, that's the only thing he says, watching as Sharpedo unleashes a Waterfall attack, then hesitates a moment before using Earthquake again.]

That shark...knows Earthquake...

Training to take down that man with the ridiculous name, are you?

Yeah, I am. I don't wanna lose to a guy like that; hell, he'd probably wipe my memories just for fun. Just. Give Maxie a moment. Oh my god what is wrong with you - ]
...you have no idea what you're doing with your own Pokémon, that's why. Do you just teach it things that you think are powerful and then attempt to make it up as you go, or what?

Basically, yeah. Earthquake takes care of Electric-types an' it's powerful. Don't see why I shouldn't use it.

And how quickly does that Sharpedo go down in battle, usually?

Uh... pretty quickly...

[Sharpedo will totally just poke him in the leg with a fin because how dare you, boss.]
Oh, sorry, Sharpedo. [He absently pats it before looking back over at Maxie.] So how'd you go about trainin' it?

I've never trained water-types; I couldn't tell you exactly what to do to raise the goddamn thing. But even with my amount of experience with this particular species, I could probably take you on with what you have if I was required to.

What d'ya mean by that? [Sharpedo seems to get the idea and he doesn't look very pleased with it.]
