Note #2: This takes place after Colonel Mitchell told Rodney to “pack his bags” for the mission after the meeting of SG-1 and SGA in the conference room.

“Getting ready for the fieldtrip with SG-1?”

Rodney McKay rolled his eyes as he stopped packing some stuff he needed to bring with him onto the Odyssey for the mission. He turned his head ( Read more... )

You know what? This is pretty good. ::grins:: I always try to keep an open mind when I see "first time posting" - but that's just posting on mckay/shep & not "first fic" huh? Either way, I liked!

::blinks:: Ok. Um.. I'm sorry. I think that comes across as rather condescending of me. Oy. I'm sorry. I'll try again...

Rodney's facial expression changed quickly to a scornful look as he remembers the other Colonel as he ignored Sheppard once more. “And what is going on with that Colonel?” His eyes widened in slight fear, “I think he’s out to get me, do you think he’s out to get me?..."

I loved that.
Your fic fits so well. I can totally see that having happened offscreen. That ep left so much room for writers to have fun. So do you have more fics out there? ::retreats to look for more fics before foot can go farther down throat.::

Hee, the first reply was fine btw. :) And yes it was my first time posting on mckay/shep and not first time posting a fic. I'v improved my writing skills over time lol...

Glad you liked that part :) I felt that Shep on that episode came off a bit harsh and I wanted to excuse that somehow and well this fic came to mind. May consider writing another (well I did but it focused on Daniel/Cam) but I considering doing something on the whole "lemon factor". :) Um, Yea, I have some more fics out there, different ones (I tend to write weird/rare fic ideas out lol).

Um, I made an index list of all my fics to have every single one I've posted in my journal in one place for easier access (it will be updated with any new fics I write as I go). Here it is (if you're still curious to see what other stuff I write. Hoep they don't scare you lol. :)

Hey, thanks! I actually did find some of your other stuff by venturing onto the overgrown back-trails of LJ, but this makes things so much easier. ^_^

Um..
stat·ic: adj.
Having no motion; being at rest; quiescent.
Fixed; stationary.

I was having a horrid time articulating, so I went & looked it up - I guess I'd be better understood to refer to them as regular vs. animated icons. ^_^

OMG you've got some great icons. I really really liked "just a little bit high," "kicked puppy", & 005 (um. That way?), & 008, 010, 011, 012... Ok. So I actually didn't *dislike* any of them, & some of them were *fabulous*. How long have you been doing icon making?

This Sunday:
August DeathMatch # 1 - Family Feud

Regular Icons Vs. Animated Icons
Ladies & gents, this is a battle you'll not want to miss. Never before has the Icons family been so divided. Every member is taking a side as these two duke it out. Tune in & find out if Regular's standard armament of witty one-liners, sight gags, and portrait shots will be able to overcome Animated's versatile abilities. This will be a fight to tell your grandchildren about - you don't want to miss it!

I wish I had the excuse of sugar for my insanity - but this seems to be my regular setting.

LOL! *dies of laughter* Oh god that was funny. :)

^_^ Ah don't feel bad. In my book - insanity is normal while normal is insanity if that made sense. I'll be tuning in this sunday for that match. Though who to cheer for is maddening....*makes mental note to buy lots of popcorn beofre the match*

Heehee. If you play your cards right, you can get in on the action on both sides. Get a hat w/ a huge icon on it w/ an on/off switch. Then you can duck into the bathroom to toggle the switch & toggle your apparent allegiance. (I can tell you from experience; The Regular branch of the family are often a very witty bunch - but the Animated's are younger & have the corresponding higher levels of energy.) ^_~
That is, of course, if you either attend the match or go to a pub or such to get the action - if you're spectating from home, then there's no worries & you can cheer for both indiscriminately!
