Has anyone heard what Laura Bush had to say about the SLOW progress. Most of the people in the gulf area were not well off so they should be okay with the way things are going. Those weren't her exact words but it was something to that effect. That shit really pissed me the fuck off when I heard that shit this morning. Then there's this sentor or reprensative that said they couldn't think off a way to get rid of the housing projects in New Orleans but the hurricane did the job. Those weren't his exacts words either but he was stupid as hell for saying that shit. Then there's someone else that said everyone that ignored the evacuation warning should be arrested. Ok dummy, what abot the thousands of poor people in that area that don't have transportation.
The political side of the aftermath of Karina is really pissing me off. How can people be so rude. These people have lost everything and the politicians have the balls to say shit like that.
I found the insensitive shit Barbara Bush said.
WHITE HOUSE DEALS WITH BARBARA
BUSH COMMENT: Former First Lady
suggests poor Katrina survivors are better
off now.
*Dubya’s mama is in hot water over
her recent comments about the Astrodome
evacuees that came across a bit insensitive.
Barbara Bush on Monday suggested that
the mostly “underprivileged” folks in the
Houston facility may be better off than they
were before the hurricane because of the
steady stream of aid.
Her exact quote was: "So many of the
people in the arena here, you know, were
underprivileged anyway, so this -- this is
working very well for them."
White House spokesman Scott
McClellan scrambled to clean up the former
First Lady’s statement.
“I think that the observation is based on
someone or some people that were talking
to her that were in need of a lot of assistance,
people that have gone through a lot of
trauma and been through a very difficult
and trying time," McClellan said Wednesday.
"And all of a sudden, they are now getting
great help in the state of Texas from some
of the shelters."
