life is supposed to describe conscious matter. "consciousness" is the ability to be aware of being aware. Our only proof is the faith we put in the power of choice. the way ants choose to move is the same as a planet choosing to influence itself with it's own gravity. everything is just warped energy. Most of the "lines" people draw with terms like life are describing the speed at which matter is "conscious."
