Commedia dell'Arte
Hello again, everyone. This week's entry focuses on commedia dell'arte. This style of theatre dates back to 16th century Italy, and utilized different masks for different characters.

Allison Williams and Todd Espeland are a husband and wife commedia troupe known as Commedia Zuppa. They perform commedia, teach commedia, and make commedia masks. (Just our luck then that they are coming to AQ to teach the mask class, which will be sweet...)

Commedia troupe from Boston that bills itself as "the greatest commedia dell'arte troupe in the entire world". Well, I can't comment on that claim, but I can say that their website is worth taking a look, especially in the "commedia resources" section.
