Yeah. She's the princess of Kimlasca. We pretty much grew up together.

Yeah. The Kingdom of Kimlasca and the Malkuth Empire are the two major world powers.

Probably wouldn't be a stretch to assume they're opposing world powers, if they'd kidnap a Duke's son and traumatize him somehow... or at least that some faction was trying to start trouble...

[Yeah, she's totally going to try to have a "Stop Van!" strategy put together by the time she ever gets back to Auldrant. She's not about to tell him that, though.]
