Swimming with the sharks.
most of the time i feel pretty safe at APU. living in the mods is like like living in a mini suburb. you allegedly know everyone, we all do our laundry together, have "block parties", etc. However, on campus, especially at night, if one stops to listen long enough, there are constantly sirens sounding up and down the streets, helicopters with spotlights in the air, flashing lights and amplified voices of the law.
often it makes me feel like APU is one of those cages divers have when they are studying sharks. its safe inside the cage - usually. just don't go out of the cage. which is kinda sad.
