the one with the busy day
i promised myself i'd get up early to do a bit more studying before my 11:25 class.
so i wake up at 11:08 and start my day in a rush. (which i hate to do.) i went to theory and we started on four part vocal writing. it made my brain hurt, but i'm definitely excited about it.
i had a test in Luke/Acts, which i'm pretty sure i aced. (well the first page anyway.) good times.
i gave my informative speech on Jon Stewart today in Public Comm. everyone seemed to really like it. i had a video clip.
in oratorio we practiced for "The Magic Flute". then we had this 45 minute complain-a-thon about how we have five concerts this semester, and every other year in oratorio they only have one concert per semester. whatever. people were being really rude about it. being in oratorio gives us the rare opportunity to make music with exclusively other musicians. its a great experience for us. if you don't like it, don't be a music major.
anyway, after class i went to keith's intermural basketball game. i can't believe they made it to playoffs. it was a really intense game, and Christina and i had to keep score (eep!). it all came down to the last 4 seconds of the game. keith's team was up by 1 and then this guy from the other team made a layup at the last second. Brewster went a little crazy. it was fun to watch.
just a little while later keith's intermural soccer team had a playoff game. (i know i know, he's and active guy what can i say.) that one was pretty intense too. they lost, and both Josh and Keith got hurt. Keith got punched in the face by the goalie.
my week is starting to slow down a little, but i have a feeling this is the calm before the storm for some reason.
