I really hate the republican party machine and the politicians it's produced over the last 20 years.
When you demonize the other side of an argument, you can't ever concede anything. Yes, it's easier to rally people around an "enemy" vs. a "good-natured colleague who simply has a different opinion on the matter" - but the end result is that we all lose.
In my opinion, anything wrong with the healthcare bill is mostly the Republican politicians' fault... instead of having a rational debate, and making the bills better by seeking out meaningful compromise, they went crazy.
It's like a toddler throwing a tantrum when they aren't getting their way because they want ice cream for dinner, and you ASKED what they wanted, and then being surprised and upset when they get served brussel sprouts and tofu burgers instead of ANYTHING they like.
