If you were in a relationship with someone who was really great and you enjoyed being with a lot, then met someone better...would you end the relationship you were in to be with someone who was better for you?

Because we're all young....and trying to find that person who will be our spouse, why do we put ourselves in committed exclusive relationships, only to eventually break up and get hurt?

Any thoughts?
