As promised, photos! :D Not many of them are of Penny or me, most of them are just what you can see around the region ;)
First, a bunch of pretty pictures from my home town, yeah? :)
Mum and Penny at the garden (działka, działeczka...).
The lovely castle hill... You can see Carlsberg umbrellas because there's a pub right underneath the 'Castel Hill' gallery.
That's the church I visited often when I was in high school. It's lovely. See the building on the right? Taht's the rear view of the building in which my school was. I think it's the dorms, to be exact. (yes, a Catholic school *and* we had boys-only dorms! ;])
So, Lubin is gettin prettier each day, or at least it does in some places... and the most adorable statues in the Piłsudski Park are my favorite bit. The turtle? Love it. *giggles* (What? Like you didn't know I like the cute and sweet things!)
Right... anybody cares to see the Piast Castle in Legnica that holds the Teacher Training College?
Each morning I came in through this gate thinking "Oh, the knowlegde I shall gain today, oh, the thrill of being a student!"... no, hold on, it was more like "Why the fuck did I have to wear high heels in winter? Shit, I'm late! Again!", to be honest :P
That's the view from the courtyard on the library bit and underneath the ivy you have the ruins of the castle's chapel. (they're actually inside the building... can't see it from the outside.)
Legnica further on... and Penny ;] My dad's comment to the picture: "Two mermaids?" :P
This art is between Copper Museum of Legnica and the Library... and it's my favorite thing to see there.
Filip, the Satyrykon's resident mascot! ;)
Dad and I. :) He made fun of the tie t-shirt! *pout* Damn his God-given right to tease his children about everything...
(The lady in the red hoodie is my mum, and the couple holding hands - brother and his wife.) Książ castle... Such a lovely place. Rebulded ver the years and bits and pieces added, burnt down, brought back, currently it's a bit of an architectural mish-mash, but it still looks good :] The castle is also built on a hill so it's got a beautiful view on the woodland area...
...which I adore like nothing else. Makes me grin like a lunatic. If it weren't for that pesky internet addiction I'd certainly live in a forrest ;)
That's the Black Courtyard. It's called 'black' because the sun never shines directly on it... I really don't know why ;) It's one f the oldest parts of the castle.
They say that on a clear day you can see Wrocław from the Tower... Penny took a picture of the entrace gate from the tower instead ;) Bird's-eye view for you to enjoy.
...and that's it. I'm only sorry Penny and me didn't have more pictures... together, I don't think we even have a single one together. Penny, how could that have happened?! *face/palm*
Ah... anyway. it was an awsome week all the same ;]
EDIT: Shit! there's something wrong with the links. I have to figure out *what* now.
EDIT2: There. That should do it.
