I seem to be overly absent minded these days. The other day I saw two good chocolates at home and asked mom who got them. Mom was taken aback - she says that her friend had given those chocolates to ME (when we had visited that aunty's home). I canot recollect the aunty giving me chocolates and still want to believe that my mother was mistaken :(.

Generally, there are various reasons for being forgetful, which include the side effects of some medications, depression, anxiety, lake of rest/sleep, bad food timings/habits...
Remedy:
Talk to your family or with someone whom you feel comfortable and discuss, if you have any sort of issues/trouble that is bothering you or is keeping your mind occupied
Have proper sleep, food and during proper hours
Do not put yourself in pressure situations
Do not repetitively think on the same topic
and ofcourse Smile!!
Do not worry, almost everyone experience memory lapses some time or the other, so it is not a cause for concern. It is just that, you should not allow the virus to spread in your entire CPU. Some memory problems are serious, and others are not. It is better to take a corrective action, when detected early. As they say, flush them out!!
Being aware of your memory lapses in itself is a good sign.
