I love LBKs! During CNY when Crystal Jade sold theirs 'raw', I must have solo-ed about 2 boxes!

I think a pao is a good one though. It looks unimpressive/unassuming on the outside (and might easily be a ball of flour -- think tangyuans or fishballs) but actually holds a surprise inside! And very often, I don't know what is inside till I bite it. (I eat all paos except exotica.) Very Weeds!

My all time favourite bao is the 莲蓉包!!! I only wish tang yuan could be filled with that sweet sticky lotus paste... if got a salted egg yolk fragment, would be even better!!

It's like a round, chewy mooncake floating in sweet soup... mmmmm.

I used to have a pecking order for paos but not anymore. The only ones I generally don't eat are Yam & Pandan.

I used to love LRBs too but of late, I've been finding them a little too sweet for my palate. There's a good handmade paoshop at the Botak Jones kopitiam. The charsiewpao uses lean meat! I wish they'd go easy on the red dye but better some colouring than fattening, I say!

I thought Weeds had a beautiful complexion? wasn't he the envy of the girls in our class?

I will always think of you as Ma Lai Go (or is it ma tai go?)... fluffy (or firm if it is MtG) but not overly sweet and generally enjoyed by many but truly appreciated by a few.

That plus you are the only person I know who orders that when we do go and eat dim sum.

Can't imagine what i would be though. i can only think of what i want to eatttt... Tomorrow brings an occasion for yum cha- Kit's little brother is coming!

Ma Lai Gou is indeed very nice! But there are too many pretenders out there (look out for the bright yellow colour and stiff sponge-like texture)...

Eh I don't wanna be Ma Tai Gou... no one I know likes it. The only person I know who likes it besides me is my mother! Hmmm... -_-"

I really can't think of something for you either! I only know you like the fried Fu Pei Guen, but that's SO NOT YOU.
