20 Game of Thrones/ASOIAF for 20inspirations

I almost never ever add text to my icons (this represents every text icon I've made since August 2011...) so even when we started planning this round for 20insp I seriously never even expected to try. But the day the challenge was posted, I randomly got really inspired by Game of Thrones and particularly by the book

I'd NEVER guess text to be something you don't usually do cause these are just so perfect :OOO

Ok, trying to pick favorites even though they're all amazing... I really adore all the monochrome ones here, especially 4 and 5, love the grunginess in them and how the white text pops. 4 has a really powerful, almost poster-like overall look, with perfect text placement and font choices. 5 has an amazing depth to it, which can be difficult to pull off with monochromes, but damn this is so how it's done. Really love its crispness too, and the subtle grungy lighting on the right. 13 is another fantastic monochrome, love the texture use and the original text arrangement, how it sort of floats around the icon, which gives it a sense of disorganized thoughts or something. Idek what I'm rambling about but the effect is really cool :D
2 and 3 are incredible too, the muted sepia coloring goes so well with GOT.

wooow at the composition of 11 and the coloring of 14, and also the circle around her, such a fun detail! 17 has perfect lighting and use of negative space and really ingenious text use - you managed to make it huge and mostly decorative and rotated and only half visible, yet still readable. Omg. It looks stunning. And I can't get over the coloring of 20 - so deep and vibrant and shiny and gorgeous! The font combination is spot on too.
LOVE the first extra too, esp the texture use and coloring!
