If it is any consolation, I felt the same way about the year until a out two months ago when all of the sudden-- job! New city! Adventure!

I keep a daily paper journal, and can look up what I was doing any day between now and April of 1993.

June 1st. Shawn was out of town, and I wanted to watch something, and I had access to Netflix, and I heard this show Sherlock is good...

No kidding! I wonder if I would have watched it eventually anyway. I mean, I wanted to watch it for several reasons: Emma was writing slash for it, I'd seen a picture of Benedict as Sherlock and thought "wow, he's hot," but if it weren't for Shawn being out of town I wouldn't have had the impetus to start watching, I don't think. And I certainly wouldn't have marathoned the whole show over a couple of days or stayed up until 4:30 am.

LOL I can remember scrolling past Emma's posts about Sherlock and Cabin Pressure. I've since gone back and read all of them.
