Having the Lolita secondhand sales community on my facebook feed is both wonderful and horrible.
In any case: a couple of days ago I saw
this blouse and thought FUCK YES and snapped it up--it's hard to find blouses I like, but one that also works for my Lolita!Sherlock cosplay? And for $40?! ALL THE WIN.
Then yesterday someone was selling
this dress in the green colorway and I talked her down slightly on price and bought it. Like, seriously, the time between "oh hey I want that" and sending off the money via paypal was, like, less than an hour. Hells yes smart phones.
AND THEN I realized that I can probably wear that blouse with that dress, since purple and green tend to go together pretty well--I'll have to wait until they're both here to compare. And the purple blouse was shipped already. And now I'm even happier.
I wonder when the Angelic Pretty stuff I bought a couple months ago is gonna come in. It was a reserve, which means they take orders for a certain amount of time and then make them and send them out; which means waiting and waiting, oh the agony. And in retrospect I wish I'd waited and bought the cutsew I liked better and/or the OP instead of the skirt and the cutsew they had available to order. Dang. I still like the items, and worst case scenario I sell them. Still debating buying more stuff from that series like the necklace and ring, and the
navy blue star bag that is technically from another print series (Dream Sky) but would still match. Also I'm still convinced I'll eventually own
Dream Sky in navy blue.
Also I'm still pondering
Honey Cake, especially if I can find a set with the matching bag. Well, I mean, I can, I'm just not willing to shell out the $400 it goes for right now. (Dream Sky sets are going for about that much, too.) LOLOL a couple of months ago I posted a photo of Honey Cake to my facebook and one of my friends reacted with total revulsion. Ahahahahahahahaha.
I know I'm gonna look absolutely ridiculous in all that AP and....I think I'm okay with that. Dressing your age is overrated.
