Poutine-ize your fries!

I met scapersuse for dinner at Swiss Chalet tonight (yes, peterbeerslayer, that would be "the chicken I like").

They have changed to their post-Festive Special menu. There is now the option to upgrade your fries to poutine. I am in heaven.

I was just saying to Declan (of the unnamed lj) last week that crack fries turned poutine would be *awesome*. And that maybe that Harvey's that's attached to the Swiss Chalet that has crack fries makes their poutine with crack fries... OMG! We should totally go and see sometime!

And then here is the Swiss Chalet poutine - no travel to the special Harvey's necessary.

*And* it means that I can have poutine delivered to my home. Score! (but not Scores.)

It was decent poutine. The cheese curd wasn't squeaky, but I do think it was curd. The gravy was gravy. And, yes, you do have the option of "chalet sauce" instead. The fries maintain their cracky goodness. They are neither improved nor lessened by being made poutine. The poutine itself is not crack, but you get the same amount of crackiness as by eating the fries alone.
