First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to
do.                                    -- Epictetus (55-135 AD) Greek Philosopher

what are ideas? where do they come from? why do we get them, follow them, work them out? i watched 'v for vendetta' last night, and it was an excellent movie... one of those that makes you think, symbolism, and a good theme of ideas.... there's one point where v says "i don't die because behind this mask is an idea, and ideas never die..." i never thought about it, but it's true...if you have an idea and you act on it, make something happen with it, it lives on long after you're gone... look at poets, writers, government leaders, actors, and so many more... people act upon what they believe in and a portion of their idea, their brain child is around for us to enjoy forever....their memories live on.... even with ancestors, or relatives that we've known who've passed away, we still know things about them, what they stood for, the stories or legends of the mistakes they made and the things they conquered both in the world, and in themselves.... i think that ideas go hand in hand with passions... if we're passionate about something and following it, our world is a enver ending plethera of ideas to make it better, or carry it on, or do it justice by doing the best that we can for whatever it may be.... why go day through day hating what you do? if you don't like the way that you're spending each day of your life, shouldn't that tell you something? follow your passions... it may be harder than taking the easy road, the one that won't be quite so hard to follow, but you'll be doing what you love, and that is all that matters........
