Lynn Johnston is planning to move to Dundas? I can't tell if that's funny or if it's true, because I actually found references to Lynn Johnston and Dundas going through an internet search. The guy who wrote April's birthday song, apparently lives in Dundas. And there was a book on leaving home, with illustrations by Lynn Johnston, and the author of the book lives in Dundas.
Regardless, the idea that Duncan Anderson would be staying in Dundas tracking the "witch" is pretty funny.

Thanks for the love!
I haven't heard that LJ is planning to return to Dundas, but it wouldn't surprise me if she did now that she's separated and semi-retired. That's where her heart lies. Milborough is based on Dundas, even if she won't admit it. And even though she's been gone from Dundas for years, she maintains the friendships and other relationships she made when she was living in Dundas. I can't see anything to keep her in North Bay (other than the inconvenience of relocating her business.)

If Liz's northern adventure ended with Paul dumping her for Susan before she left Mtigwaki, then it would be very much like it.
As near as I can tell, Rod Johnston is still active in the North Bay area with the Waterfront Park Carousel thing. And if my old "Howard Bunt Blog" Anonymous from Corbeil is correct, he is dating a woman who works for his dental office in North Bay. I expect it would be a lot nicer for Lynn Johnston not to have to ever worry about running into Rod with his new girlfriend, or hearing about them from someone.
As for her office, her most recent video interview seemed to indicate that she plans to shed her inker and colourist and do the entire strip by herself, so it would no longer be necessary to stay in Corbeil. She could move, mail her completed strips into Corbeil, and visit her office whenever she wanted. Dundas is very doable, I think.

Out of curiosity, I Googled "North Bay" and "Rod Johnston," and I see that you are quite right. He was listed as a speaker for a program related to that project, for Spring/Summer 2008. And he was pictured doing a presentation. Wearing a bowtie. And then I checked some other pages and realized he seems to have a thing for bowties. BOWTIES! I wonder if sticking John (and the other men) in a teal bowtie had something to do with that.
Oddly enough, Rod and his bowties clearly got into my subconscious. Last night, I dreamed about attending some kind of Lynn-celebrating dinner event. At some point in the evening, Rod was there (with a bowtie), delivering an impromptu speech where he stood up for Lynn and accused attendees of the event of using her for free dinner. Weird dream. :)
