Plans, post-hybrid?

I'm wondering what ARB regulars are inclined to do once we hit the Foob freeze/hybrid era. Do we, in turn, freeze in time? Do we continue our own storylines and comment on whatever the hybrid strips are focusing on? Do we hang up ARB altogether and move on to other projects ( Read more... )

It's going to be wait and see for me. (1) Can Lynn Johnston actually let go of her creation to the proposed hybrid form? (2) Will there be something actually going on aside from sticking Mike's head on the corner of old strips?

If there is nothing going on, I don't plan to snark old strips.

I really think it will depend on what the hybrid strip looks like. However, if new strips are few and far between, I think ARB will turn mostly into talk about the characters we've invented, like Jeremy's many Z girls, and Honoria, etc. And frankly, I am not that interested in those characters. I like snarking on Lynn's crap. That's what I'm in it for.

I am already losing interest, with how badly the strip is written these days--it's so boring.

Yes--it's almost as if the Lynnions are trying to ensure that we won't miss the strip. Well played, Lynnions.

Probably on to other endeavors for us. . . . ;)

If the hybrid strip does have new material every few weeks, but not enough for daily blog entries, maybe it would make sense to have April scale back her blogging due to being very busy on the farm (or wherever else LJ ships her off to). The schedule could then be set to whatever seems to work well with the hybrid strip. It's something to think about, anyway.

On the other hand, the hybrid strip could end up being 100% repackaged re-runs.

I agree that strips like today's are boring, and I have to congratulate you guys - you always find a way to create something interesting from it. Bravo!

Thanks, luanndegroot!

I guess we'll have to wait and see just what the hybrid will entail. One thing I really don't want to do is comply with the whole frozen-age thing. If ARB does continue, I would prefer that we do our own real-time aging.
