I have been trying to participate on ARB when I have time, but it's just making me frustrated. When I can't be around, other writers feel free to do whatever they want with my characters...and a lot of it just makes me angry. I'm not even sure what exactly happened with Becky and Howard, but the result has been that I feel like I can't write for her anymore. I have some ideas for Becky and Gerald, but Katje disagrees. Liz--let's don't even go there. That frustration is primarily coming from Lynn herself, and there's nothing any of us can do about that ( ... )

I'm sorry to see you go, qnjones--you've been with ARB right from the start and I want you to know that I'm grateful for your contribution for the 2+ years (!) that we've done this. I'm sorry for any frustration that I've been responsible for.

Should you change your mind, I want you to know that the door is always open. And either way, please come by here at the Meta from time to time and let us know how you are.

qnjones, as always, if you miss for awhile, I am more than happy to recap. As a point of information, what happened was that when Lynn Johnston retconned the Liz / Anthony / Therese story where Liz wasn't a part of the reason their marriage ended and the Howard attack wasn't mentioned, I wrote up a story where Beatrice Alfarero got ahold of a spare "retcon card" and retconned a whole history with Howard into her life, snarking the whole Anthony / Therese retcon story as a part of the retcon. I was amused by the idea and it seemed an appropriate way to snark, considering what Lynn Johnston was doing ( ... )

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I'm thinking about it. I do not want to miss Liz's wedding. I'll get back to you this weekend.

Thanks for your patience, guys. I am just having a hard time figuring out how to juggle my life right now. ARB included.

The way I look at is: qnjones has a lot of balls in the air right now, and if one of the juggling balls occasionally drops into ARB and makes me laugh, then that's one more laugh than I had before. Drop in when you can. You know we love your stuff.
