So tomorrow is the last day of orientation. We have a ropes course day which should be pretty fun. Then on Monday I start on Child and Adolescent. That rotation is supposed to be a pretty good one to start on because it is not too tough. Also, the summer is when most parents keep their kids out of the hospital so it should be pretty slow, but the attending is supposed to be really good and likes to teach.
Today surprisingly it is pretty cold, only about 77 degrees and rainy. It is a welcome relief from some of the 100 degree weather plus lots of humidity.
Last night a group of residents and I met up to play some touch football...it was a blast! One of the resident's husbands ended up breaking some bones in his foot and wrist though...he was getting really into it.
Tonight I have Tae Kwon Do and then a resident and his wife are having people over for a get-to-know-everyone party. It should be fun and I made my famous chocolate chip cookies for the occasion.
Talk to you soon
