(no subject)
Ugh, first of all!, can I just say how much I hate the LJ ads?!! God, they are so annoying! Anyway, I realize how much time I actually spend on LJ...and it's about 1 to 2 hours everyday. So in spending that much time you'd think I'd have more friends on here or post things. But nope, I usually just look through tags and archives of icon/graphic makers. It's actually fun and entertaining, I greatly enjoy it.
Anyway, on the fandom side, I've started watching Mad Men and it's been okay so far. Would I say that it's greater than Lost or that it deserves to win all the pretentious awards? Of course not. It is actually a 7 out of 10. (While as Lost is always 10/10.) The only reason I'm comparing the two is that when Mad Men wins something (and it usually wins over Lost) the MM fandom says that it's because Lost is pretentious. REALLY?! LOST is the pretentious one?! I don't even. All they've done on this show is smoke cigarettes, have affairs, zoom in on Joan's best... assets, and smoke some more cigarettes. The only reason I'm even remotely interested in finishing this show is because I know Alison Brie is in it. (I kinda like Betty and Joan, though too, tbh.) And I fucking hate Don Draper. Peggy is also such a cliche. Don't even get me started on Pete. *rolls eyes* I'll keep watching, but I ain't sayin this show is even that worthy of watching. (And I just re-read this; look at all the times I used pretentious!)
After taking a minor break from reading the HP series, I am now on Half-Blood Prince. I haven't even actually started reading it. I'm kind of looking forward to reading this one, I am intrigued on what Harry's going to do next! And BLAH OMG I cried when Sirius died in the last book! It's the first time I've cried while reading Harry Potter. I'm going to miss him! He was one of my favorite characters and one of the few that I actually wish were real people.
I'm currently writing my first fic! It's coming along. As I mentioned before, I've never read any fic and I don't really know if I'm doing it right lol. But I'm gonna keep writing it and see where it goes. It's awful short as of now (just started writing it last night). It's about Mitchell and Annie's relationship. I JUST ADORE THEM. They are my new OTP and as far as the canon of the show goes, THEY BETTER MAKE IT HAPPEN! I might post it when I finish (and I might even make a graphic to go with it...we'll see.) It's funny how much actual joy it brings me writing this fic. It's fun!
