What is magic?
Today at work, child (A) rolled up an elastic head band into a ball. Raising it up to show me, child (A) said "It's magic!"
Child (B), who was nearby said "That's not magic!"
Me: What is magic?
Child (B) thinks hard: Hmm... It's when two people... It's when a nose turns into a butterfly. And then goes back into a nose.
Me: Ahhhh...
Child (A): Like a magician!
Child (B): No!
Me: A magician can...
Child (A): Like a clown!
Child (B): No!
Me: Who can do magic?
Child (B): Santa Clause!
Child (A): Santa Clause can't do magic! He only give toys
Child (B) Yes he can! He can...
At this pint, I tuned out as I turned my attention to one of the teacher and told her what these two were saying about magic.
