I'm back in North Cackalacka...
So our adventure to Kentucky was amazing. I had the best time there. When we left Statesville it was 60 degrees outside, and when we arrived in Kentucky it was like 10 degrees. There was also 6-7 inches of snow and ice everywhere too. Crazy weather change. I loved it though, because we had our first Christmas together and it was a white one. It was beautiful. On Christmas eve we went to the Opryland Hotel and went through this ice sculpture display. There was 1.5 million pounds of ice sculpted into things. It was amazing. They had ice slides too, and so we all went down one. It was so funny. Christmas day was great as well. We opened gifts and then all took naps. The rest of the day was just hanging out and playing games, and watching television. On sunday we drove down to TN to my grandparents and had Christmas there. My grandparents are in their 80's and their health is bad, and so it was nice to have another Christmas with them. On monday night we drove to Rob's(the roads in muhlenberg county were still terrible!) for his christmas party. That was lots of fun. I was so glad that I got to see everyone...rob, jon, derek, alex, april L, angie, and of course wes. ha. fun times! megan also went with us and so that made it even more fun. On tuesday Polly and Greg and the kids came to our house. They were in from Oklahoma and so we had to have our annual christmas time together. It was so good to see them. I miss them so much. Later that night after they left we(mom, atlee, adam, bridget, megan, chuck, jeremy, and me) went to eat mexican and after we all went to adam's house and played games.
so on wednesday we just hung out some more, and then we had to leave. I cried alot off and on before we left, and then cried when we drove away. I really miss my mom alot. It was so good to see all of my family again. My older brother is now back with the Lord, and is doing amazing. He and his wife are just doing so well. It was such a cool day on christmas when we all sat and read the christmas story. My mom cried, and was so happy because all of her kids are serving the Lord. So cool. :)
So now we are back home...
Yesterday at work I was carrying libbie down the steps and I was on the third step from the bottom and my foot slipped out from under me and I just fell smack on my butt bone. Wow did it hurt. Libbie laughed. She thought we were sliding down the last few steps for fun. HA. So I am so sore today.
Not sure yet exactly what all we will be doing tonight. We are going into charlotte to hang out with some friends. Who knows what we will get into. Watch out!
