Hmm

What is it about this consensus that if you are even the least bit liberal you can't be faithful to God? I'v eheard a lot of Christians saying that the democrats winning so much is a sign that the end is near and all this. Like if you are a dem you are not a christian. Yeah, I guess I MISSED that part in the bible. If any one could SHOW me that passage, it would be greatly appreciated! What is so weird about this to me is that if you read the bible and really look at the politics of the day, I think the early christian movement (and I'm talking like in Roman days, not in the Dark Ages and all that silliness) was a very progressive one. They were so radical, so different, and they went against everything that all the people in power were for. They had a vision of something so different that their current government and would probably have been considered the liberals. Now I'm not saying that one party is evil and the other isn't, and I'm definitely not saying all democrats or all republicans are Christians but I am saying that it's really dumb to judge someone just because they are more foreward thinking than you are. Christ has never called us to be backward. He has never said that we can't think outside the box! If Christians DIDN'T think outside the box ever, we never would have gotten out of the dark ages, we never would have had contemporary churches, wouldn't be allowed to dance...I could go on and on. What's even more interresting to me is that the ones who have put us in this HUGE global conflict of ours wear republican red like it's no one's business. A lot of people think that this world will end with a huge nuclear holocaust and it seems like a lot of republicans are all for the idea of war. Now not ALL, I'm just saying a lot of people in power. So I just think that this is a really interresting thing...
