It's amazing what works when you just try.

Getting an encouragement award at school was always tinged with a reminder of your mediocrity. Enouragement translates to 'Not first'. I guess it's a step up from those 'participation' awards though. Those were a real kick in the nuts. Similar to the 'good effort' stickers I remember getting in kindergarten or it could have been Year 2. Times are a' changing. They should make new stickers that say 'You fucking rule second grade!'

The subject of my entry came from a girl at work who said just that after she'd popped open the printer and fiddled with the toner enough for it to start printing again. I overheard her and thought that her offhand utterance kinda applies to many things in life.

I'm cleaning my room and listening to Jamie Cullum. It's that song Lover, You Should've Come Over. I like the way he sings. He has a cool twang to everything he does. I heard from a mate that he plays the piano like a madman. Bangs against it, jumps on top of it, smashes his fists on it.

At work tomorrow my mentor Shannon and I are moving from the ground floor to level 2. The majority of our team is up there and I've noticed they get more sunlight, which is good. Vitamin E! I'm a bit sad coz I'll be leaving behind this great girl, Jess, who I've become real chummy with and who shares the same pet hates and it's been great to sit beside someone my age (7 days younger to be exact). Hopefully, the move will prove for the best. I hope I have my own wall on which to pin up my crap.
