I always find your fic beyond amazing and I'm sure someone has told you that but you're an amazing writer with amazing words and I wish I could say everything in my mind with my own mother-language because english isn't my native and my words is limited. Actually I waited until this story completed so I can read it from the beginning in one go.

I found the similarity between Baekhyun in this and Baekhyun in "I'm ready for the fall (ready for the colors to burn to gold and crumble away)". The same vulnerability, fragile outside but strong inside. But, despite their similarity, Baekhyun in this story was different because of his visual disability.

The first time I read the tags, I was a little bit afraid, because.. yeah I don't really like angst that contains physical disability theme. It's like pouring salt into an open wound. But I made a choice and I could say that this is one of your best fic among all. It contains so much feeling, the accurate conflict that you just put through and through. Not too slow, but also not too rush.

I cried in the 1/5 of the fic, smiling in the middle, and cried again almost in the end. Àctually I've never been closed to someone with visual impairment but I can imagine about Baekhyun's insecurity, his inside conflict, his doubt about his life, how he described himself as useless man (huhu I actually cried when I read that). Eventho he looked sassy and petty, but after we dug inside his mind through the story, he just showed that he was a very human after all, not the doll his mother wanted him to be.

As much as I didn't like Baekhyun's mother, I couldn't help myself to hate Baekhyun's father. And being a realistic, I did understand when another wave of insecurity came again towards him, doubting Chanyeol's everything, after his conversation with his father. After all, commitment is a commitment, and Baekhyun's father was thirsty with glory and position that even love and his family couldn't help him at all.

And I'm glad you wrote Baekhyun's character not that weak and fragile like other ppl write abt blind person. In his disability, he proved that he was a man, he could put a physical fight with Chanyeol and yeah, equality between them was something palpable through the story.

I admired Chanyeol. His character was so human, how he put up with Baekhyun's attitude and his patience was something that I respected since the beginning of the fic, eventho he had his own reason in the beginning. Even his anger and rage was something that I could understand. He was a rebel, but he was soft. He had a lot to think, conflict inside his mind even since the beginning of the story, but he managed to get it. He was like our favorite protagonist in drama: brave, ambitious, and bold. And I think, he had won the biggest prize, after all.

I believe that love is about compromising and you just told us about that, from Chanyeol relationship with Baekhyun, Baekhyun with his own family, and Chanyeol too. Maybe if Baekhyun's father hadn't left his family, or his mother had taken care of Baekhyun well, their life path would have turned out very different.

Usually, we rarely have any contact with person that visually impaired, therefore getting closer with them (this is in my case). Right now, at least I could see from their pov, and how much love can change someone for better. Baekhyun in the end would still petty, and even Chanyeol couldn't promise the world to Baekhyun, but at least we could imagine what wld happen with them 20 years later.

Ah yes, the smut. It was just right, not too much, and those 'I love you' part, it was in the right place, not too early or late.

For closing, let me quote my fave line.

"Life is not a straight line, nor a crooked one. Life is not a prolonged amount of time. Life is a constellation of moments, of bright lights burned in our memories from our birth to our death, and the task of connecting the dots to reveal the final design is up to us. In the end, what happened is not important as much as what is remembered. The stars burn bright and everything else is cosmic dust."

Ah, I'm too much rambling rn. Thank you so much for writing it, I'm glad I can get a chance to read it. I'm waiting for another work from you. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas!
