Genre: Fiction, supernatural

Disclaimer: Do we need to go through this?

Summary: Yamada Ryosuke was having a very hard time taking care of the pair of most problematic exorcists. He has to make sure they do their job or he will face the scary Yokoyama, again?! Most of it are Yamada’s POV.

- This is the result of watching too much d-gray man. hehe~

“What they did this time?!” Yokoyama barked at the poor boy. Yamada Ryosuke jumped. His whole body was like being struck by thunder. He quickly gathered himself once again and continued his report.

“They busy dotting on each other,” he said with the smallest voice possible. Yokoyama walked faster and Yamada had to run to catch up on him.

“I TOLD THEM TO TAKE CARE OF THE BEAST, THE BEAST!! NOT TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER!!!!!!!!” he screamed again. Yamada clamped both of his ears. His face all scrunched up and he trembled badly. Other agents in the office ignored both of them completely. Suddenly Yokoyama stopped and faced him. His big face got closer and closer and Yamada step backward little by little until his back hit the wall.

“Tell your ‘lovely’ senpais to do their job properly next time or they will be demoted! You get it? DEMOTED!” Yokoyama bit his lips saying the words one by one. Yamada nodded once. Yokoyama grunted and Yamada nodded again many many times. Yokoyama snickered and left the trembling boy to do his never ending work, shouting things like “Work! Work!” all the way to his office.

Yamada still pressed to the wall with wide eyes, cannot get over the shock. He just began working a month ago and he believed his life span has shortened to half. Out of blue, a very bright, bubbly boy skipped all the way to him, smiling widely.

“Morning, Yamada-kun! How’s your day today?” Chinen chirped happily at the poor boy.

“Fine. Just perfect. Yokoyama-san is pms-ing today as well.”

“Awww, don’t be like that. He’s a kind person most of the time.”

“Am I actually always come at the worst moment possible?”

“No, it’s just that you have to take care the most problematic pair possible. It’s not that big of a deal.”

“No? Nishikido-senpai and Ueda-senpai are making me crazy day by day.”

“Sure, ne~  They never get enough with each other” Chinen said amused. Yamada took off, frustrated. Chinen followed him, still smiling widely.

“What do you want?” Yamada asked, glancing at him and looking back to the front. He didn’t stop walking though and the bright boy also didn’t stop following.

“Yamashita-san asked me to give you this,” Chinen said and handed Yamada a file. Yamada stopped walking and shook his head.

“No way,” Yamada said and grabbed the file with disgusting look.

“Yes way, honey. Take it and good luck doing your work,” Chinen said and disappeared as fast as he came. Yamada walked to his desk and began analyzing the content of the file. He wrote something on his notepad while turning the pages of the file contents to and fro. It’s their job as the agent a.k.a ‘babysitter’ to their assigned exorcist to analyze the case before giving it to them, exorcist to do their work.

“New case?” Takaki head popped into Yamada’s cubicle.

“Yeah, it’s weird. Since my exorcists just came back from their previous assignment, and they did a lousy job at that.”

“Just take it to Akanishi senpai, he can accompany your exorcists and make sure they do their work. I’m sure Nishikido-senpai will feel disturbed by his presence and can’t do his business with Ueda-senpai,” Takaki laughed at his own ‘genius’ idea.

“Okay, Takaki-kun. Enough with your brilliant idea as I need to deliver this to my ‘lovely’ senpais now,” Yamada stood up and walked away before Takaki can open his mouth to argue.

Yamada didn’t bother to search the whole building for the exorcists since they always are at the same place at their free time. ‘No one will disturb us here,’ Ryo once said. Yamada climbed the stairs all the way to the roof and cracked open the door. Cool morning breezes greeted him and he shivered. He thought about retreating and tells them about the new assignment some time later but, Yokoyama scary face flashed in his mind and he decided to just go with it.

True enough, when he spotted the two, they were busy attacking each other’s lips as if there’s no tomorrow. He had to cover his eyes and prepared his heart and mind. The first time he saw them a month ago, he nearly died in shock watching the situation they were in. but now, he had gotten partially used to it. Well, he preferred to change pair but there’s no luck whatsoever.

“Ehmm,” Yamada coughed, announcing his presence to the couple. Ueda saw him first and he pushed Ryo off him and stood up abruptly.

“Ryosuke,” Ueda said embarrassingly. Ryo get up too and looked at Yamada as if he was interrupting something really important.

“Ano, Ueda senpai~” Ryo suddenly throw his arms around Ueda and hugged him.

“Ryo!” Ueda scolded him.

“Ano…”

“Ryosuke, who gave you permission to talk to MY Ueda?”  Ryo asked arrogantly.

“Umm, Nishikido-senpai…”

“Ok, enough! Babe, it’s his job, there’s no reason for you to get angry,” Ueda strained his words while talking to Ryo. Ryo wore this smug look on his face because he was the one who get scolded instead of the not-so-important-Yamada-person.

“Babe.”

Ryo sulked now. Ueda pecked Ryo lips three to four times, and then do it again until he satisfied; resulting in overly pleased mighty Nishikido Ryo.

“Ok, that will do,” Ryo said happily and released Ueda but still holding his right hand.

“Ok, work, work. What is it now, Ryosuke?” Ueda asked.

“Make it short and precise,” Ryo interrupted. Yamada nodded.

“Demon sighted at deserted highway near Roppongi forest, coordinate 40° 45′ 0″ north, 14° 29′ 10″ east. It’s a level 3, so far no death reported,” Yamada said.

“Level 3 again? That will take time,” Ryo complaint.

“Luckily it’s a deserted highway. Come on, Ryo,” Ueda said.

“Hime, you are forgetting something?” Ryo said with husky voice. Ueda walked closer to him and played with his hair.

“Ano, senpai. We will be late.” But Ueda and Ryo ignored him completely.

“Hime, my good luck kiss,” Ryo whined. Ueda pushed Ryo to sit down and he sat on his lap. He caressed Ryo’s cheeks gently while their eyes locked to each other.

“Senpai…” Ryo was about to reach for Ueda’s rosy lips when Yamada burst out.

“Yokoyama-san said you will be demoted if you didn’t do your work!” both of them stopped.

“Okay, okay. You’re ruining the mood, chibi-tan,” Ryo said.

“Chibi-tan?” Yamada was confused. Ueda laughed amusingly while Ryo checked on their weapons and stuffs.

“Okay, we are ready to go. See if you can catch up to us,” Ryo challenged the confused boy. Ryo took Ueda’s hand and they took of first.

“Eh, wait! Senpai~~” Yamada cried.

They ran faster than normal human, like wind, and sometimes they jumped on buildings and houses. As lousy as they were, Ryo and Ueda were the fastest and most skilled exorcist the organization ever have. So, when they were too occupied with each other to do their wok properly, which are most of the time, people higher up can’t say anything. Even when they did say something, they never act their words.

Yamada looked at the compass and looked to the front again. He knew why he was assigned to them, it’s because he was fast. To catch up with the exorcists, he has to be as fast as them. That’s why Yokoyama-san just brushed him off every time he tried to talk with him about changing exorcists. Yamada sighed. They nearly arrived at the site and he quickly examined the place. The demon was nowhere to be seen. Can it be? All he knew, demons are very big. But again, this was level 3 demon; it can think and maybe know how to hide itself.

Ryo and Ueda landed on their feet and changed to their attack mode. Yamada landed too but hid himself among the trees. Fighting the demon is not his work; he didn’t have any fighting skills. Rather than the demon, Yamada kept keen eyes on the exorcists. From his experiences, they will get bored with the demon quickly and started giving each other attention, especially in this situation where the demon was nowhere to be seen. And he was right this time too. He saw Ryo put down his sword and walked to Ueda. Yamada banged his head to the tree, irritated.

“Hime, I’m bored, “Ryo said. He put his head on Ueda’s shoulder. Ueda patted Ryo’s back.

“I promise you special treatment once we get back,” Ueda consoled him. Ryo lifted his head lazily and his sharp annoyed gaze suddenly changed its course to Yamada and it’s pierced through him to the back of his head. Yamada fell on the forest floor. ‘So scary. His annoyed look can kill,’ Yamada thought.

“Phew, I thought I already dead,” Yamada muttered while trying to stand up again. Suddenly, very fast and without warning, he was blown hard. Yamada butt met the forest floor again. He tried to look at what was it that attacked him so suddenly and his eyes opened wide in shock. Standing in front of him was the demon. It was so huge it blocked nearly all of his vision. It was the first time Yamada ever saw a demon this close. He was so scared he thought he might faint. He did the first thing that came to his mind, which was screaming for help.

“Nishikido-senpai!!!!!! Ueda-senpai!!! Help me!!!!!” he screamed at the top of his lung. No help came.

“Senpai!!!!!!!!!!!” he screamed louder.

“Do you hear anything?” Ueda asked. Ryo looked around then shook his head. He continued latching himself to Ueda. But then, he realized something.

“Where’s chibi-tan?” Ryo asked. Ueda just realized that Yamada had disappeared.

“Is something happened to him?” Ueda asked worriedly.

“Nothing can…”

“Senpai!!!” they heard a distant sound calling for them.

“SHIT!” Ryo cursed. He pulled out his swords back and ran towards the voice. Ueda followed from behind. He didn’t need weapon, because he himself was a weapon.

Yamada looked at the demon fearfully. His throat ached from all the screaming. ‘I’m dead, I’m dead,’ he thought.  He saw the demon lift his sharp paw ready to blow him again. Yamada closed his eyes waiting for the blow to come, waiting to feel the hurt, but it didn’t come. He opened his eyes cautiously and saw a person’s back.

“Nishikido-senpai.” Ryo turned his head and winked at him.

“Run! Now!!” he shouted. Without being told for the second time, Yamada ran for his life away from there.  He found a big rock and hid behind it, watching the exorcists did their work. He needs to jot down all the details to write report to give to Yokoyama-san. The thought of their chief make him shivered. Yokoyama-kun sure was scarier than the demon. He turned his attention to the fight again.

“Nishikido-senpai!” he gasped. Ryo was still blocking the demon’s attack with his long sword. Ryo then realized he can’t forever be in defense mode without attacking so he ducked quickly and the surprises demon nearly fall. Ryo ran to the demon’s back and slashed his sword on the demon’s back. The demon fall at last, but not for long. In no time, it got on its feet and decided to change the strategy. Suddenly it charged not at Ryo, but at Yamada.

“Woii!!! I’m here, stupid demon!!” Ryo shouted angrily. He got in front of the demon like a lightning and attacked it very fast that all it saw was a blur.

“RYO, what about me?!” Ueda shouted. Ryo ignored him. He was busy attacking and dodging the demon’s attack. Ueda got upset and stand in between of Ryo and the demon.

“RYO, you are not giving me attention!” he screamed again, trying to get his lover’s attention.

Ryo heard him the second time. Upon seeing Ueda nearly cry, he forgot everything about the demon. He left the confused demon and turned his full attention to the pretty boy. Ryo hugged Ueda tight, Yamada who saw everything nearly faint again.

“Oh GOD, not again~”

“Hime, I’m sorry, please don’t cry. I’m sorry,” Ryo said. He embraced Ueda gently and caressed his copper hair.

“I want to fight too,” Ueda complained in tears.

“Awww, poor baby,” Ryo consoled him. Yamada have been banging his head again to the rock watching their drama from afar. Suddenly he saw the demon ready to attack again. He waved frantically to Ryo and Ueda but they were too absorbed with each other and didn’t notice him. The demon was obviously angry and he charged unexpectedly and with a loud thud, he succeeded in pulling Ueda from Ryo and threw him away. Ryo blood boiled and his inside flamed with anger.

“YOU FILTHY BASTARD!!!” Ryo screamed. Yamada did his victory pose when the exorcist finally back into the game.

“YOU’LL GET IT FOR TOUCHING MY HIME!!!!!!!!” Ryo continued and Yamada fainted.

‘Yeah, right. It’s all about Ueda-senpai,’

Yamada get up again and saw Ryo sprinted to where Ueda was thrown. Ryo helped Ueda to get on his feet again and when Yamada expect them to actually start giving their all to kill the demon, they did the opposite thing. Yamada cannot believe what he saw. Ryo kissed Ueda full on the lips and Ueda responded aggressively. Suddenly, a very bright light appeared around them and Ueda changed. He no longer got fair skin and copper hair. His skin turn pure white and shining, and his hair changed to black. He also got wings at his back. Yamada closed his eyes and opened it again to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. But when he opened his eyes Ueda was still the same. Still as bright and a clashed of pure white and deep black as ever.

“Ueda-senpai is an angel,” Yamada said under his breath. This is the very first time he saw it happened after a month with them. Now he understood why Ueda barely fight before.

Ueda’s expression turned fierce. He placed his hand on Ryo’s swords and together they closed their eyes and chanted. The sword was covered in flame.  Ueda kissed Ryo’s forehead as if granting him permission to continue. Ryo smiled and ran forward with his flaming swords and charged towards the demon in one swift, fast blow. The demon burned to ash and the exorcists win. Mission accomplished, Yamada quickly wrote in his notepad while his eyes still locked on the burning demon and his senpais. When the demon died, Ueda changed back and once again ran towards Ryo, crying. ‘Oh, well~”

“NOW WHAT? WASN’T IT ALL WELL, ENDS WELL?” Yokoyama-san asked Yamada who was sweating like crazy.

“They…they b-burned the…the entire forest...as well” Yamada answered, still in a very small, trembling voice. Yokoyama gritted his teeth. He cornered the poor boy to the wall.

“Next time, don’t tell me that nonsense again. Do your job by keeping a clooooose eye on them.  Understand?” Yokoyama said in straight face but anyone can see he was clearly threatening him. Yamada nodded slowly. Yokoyama-san wanted to walk away before Yamada called him

“Ano, sachou?” Yokoyama turned to look at him.

“Hmm?”

“Is Ueda-senpai an angel?” he asked. Yokoyama-san lips curled into a knowing smile.

“That’s why they are special. Your exorcists. Ryo and Ueda are two person and at the same time is one entity,” he smiled again and left Yamada to understand it by himself. Yamada thought hard.

“One entity? What’s that suppose to mean??”
