[Kohaku figured he might as well try out the pink doors, which is why he currently finds himself in Ariat. While he remembers the description in the guide, he's not at all intimidated, and since he's here, there's no harm in familiarizing himself with the surroundings.

So now he's jumping from rooftop to rooftop, without any particular destination or goal in mind. Fortunately (or unfortunately), he's yet to notice Sesshoumaru.]

[ Sesshoumaru slows to a halt and pauses, looking around. His eyes move upwards and catch sight of one of Naraku's pawns - the boy, he recalls. Remembering their conversation with vivid clarity he rumbles, a quiet, low growl, and pushes himself into the air to stalk the boy down. ]

[It doesn't take long for Kohaku to realize that he's being followed. A glance over his shoulder reveals exactly who it is, and his eyes widen at the sight. Likewise, he remembers their conversation well.

Still, he knows that he can't outrun the demon, so he lands on a building rooftop, stops, and turns around. However, his kusarigama is out, and his guard is up.]

[ Sesshoumaru stops on a rooftop opposite the boy and takes a long moment to stare him down. Naraku's spawn, but, he recalls, someone Rin knows. ]

Human. Has Naraku contacted you?

[ This is the most important question - Sesshoumaru doesn't attack needlessly, after all. ]

[Kohaku's a little surprised that he hasn't attacked him yet, and it probably shows, but he steels his expression again.]

... No. I don't know if he's even here.

[lordistic]

Do you desire to return to his side?

[bound_life]

[At that, he's silent. The honest answer is "no," but it's not as if he can say that. After all, he's supposed to be Naraku's mindless puppet.]

[lordistic]

Speak, boy!

[bound_life]

[He flinches somewhat at that.]

... I already gave you my answer.

[lordistic]

Then you wish to die.

[bound_life]

[He takes on a passive tone, as his expression matches it.]

If Master Naraku wills it.

[ He clenches a fist, lightly, then draws his sword. ]

You will not be allowed to report to him.

[His grip tightens around his weapon.]

I told you, I don't know if he's here at all.

That changes nothing.

[bound_life]

... Do you intend to kill me, then?

[lordistic]

[ There's a pause. So far, the kid has done nothing (save almost killing Rin, he hasn't forgotten that) but that doesn't chance the fact that he works for Naraku. ]

If Naraku appears do you intend to return to him?
