Calling all LJ pals! Advice needed!

Not that I have a particularly epic f-list or anything but I know you are all very savvy people so I thought I'd throw this out there! Due to my moving to Australia rather permanently come July, thinking about all of the things I need to get rid of + the need to save munny for grad school = a very stressed me...
So! Question is! If you needed to get rid of some books (manga, graphic novels, regular old books), DVDs, CDs, video games, clothes, etc. and wanted to make some money out of it, what would YOU do? Ebay? Amazon? Livejournal sales? Pawn it off on your loved ones? Hold a tear-filled goodbye party at the local dumpster? Any and all suggestions/plans of attack would be very much appreciated!
I've tested the waters by posting a couple of textbooks on Craig's list. I've tried ebay once before, but it was a miserable failure... I'm not sure I have the knack of it, so if anyone has experience in any of these areas, tips would be most appreciated!
And! Since you've gotten this far, you'll certainly be free to first dibs on any of my crap that tickles your fancy (dirt cheap to free, I'm not gonna gouge you guys!)! I'm heading home next weekend and plan to start rounding things up, but as of now I know I at least have a couple of anime DVD box sets, manga series (either partial or complete), some movies, and other misc. stuff, so I might be doing a little post soon compiling all that.
