Deadwood Downs : Radeker : Winter, Year Two
It's a blah rainy day, and I don't have much else to do, so I wanted to get all the winter updates done while I'm thinking of it.
As a quick reintroduction to the Radeker family, Jolene and Neil were a couple straight out of CAS that moved into Deadwood Downs at the end of fall. Neil joined the Law Enforcement career in order to unlock police and fire services, including alarms, and all celebrated. Jolene stays at home with their daughter Eva, and since she wanted to purchase a Toy Making Bench, I'm having work toward a Gold Badge so that she can open up a toy shop for some extra cash.
Clown-in-a-box toys mean that she's got her Bronze badge. :)
And now, some spam of toddler-Eva, because I think she is adorable.

Eva isn't the only one who enjoys the products of Jolene's hobby, apparently. Aren't you a little old for that sort of thing, Neil?
He continues doing well at his job, so maybe his childish de-stress strategies DO work.
It's hard to tell, but this is Jolene and Neil twirling back into their clothes in a synchronized manner after getting knocked up again. I'm excited to see how the next baby looks as I'm so enamored with Eva, but they really don't have the room. I suppose I'll have to do some re-building.
Eva grew up into something red, so I ran with it. Also, she continues to be LOVELY.
Probably too bright to sleep in, really, but oh well.

This is what Neil chooses to discuss when making friends for work. The Sim he's taking to is one of Jeremiah Sawyer's favored Romance-sim girlfriends. I'll leave it at that.
The pregnancy has put Jolene on an odd sleeping schedule, so Neil and Eva have dinner alone. I like to imagine that Eva is worrying about whether they'll have enough money for everything with the new baby -- maybe she's a future Fortune sim? (I roll Legacy-style for Aspiration, so we'll see)
Jolene has her dinner much later, after the rest of the family has gone to bed.
Then she spends some time working on her toy-making skills.
Neil just does not have good luck with chance cards.
With his new work schedule, Neil is around for the birth this time. Not that it means much, as being around means 'being useless and freaking out', but you know... xD
Another baby girl, Ashley Radeker joins the family.
Eva is always wanting to jump rope, even though her One True Hobby is Sports.
I added a second story and gave them some nice siding (mostly since the trim on the old kind looked odd with a second story :P) -- unfortunately they ran out of money so it's completely unfinished. No windows, no actual rooms yet, etc. BUT, it's built, so as soon as Neil gets another paycheck next round I can work on finishing it so Ashley will hopefully have her own room by the time she becomes a toddler.
