Valentine's Day
Since yesterday was a special day and it's been forever since I updated, I suppose I could say a few things here.
Because my wonderful fiance has to work eleven days in a row (he's now on day three), we ended up splitting our Valentine's celebration into two days. The first was about a week ago, and involved a walk through the beautiful gardens they have here, the drinking of vodka and tropical juice, and the watching of the movie Child's Play. Last night, since he had to work, we just had pizza, watched about ten minutes of Garden State (which has been named "our movie," by the both of us, apparently), and exchanged mushy cards.
I was totally spoiled, by the way. He bought me a very nice card, the entire collection of the Child's Play movies, and two stuffed animals, a dog and a horse. I only got him a lousy card, and I bought that with money he gave me! Not much else I could do, though. I did iron his workshirts for him, so I guess that's something.
All is well here. Money is tight and we're mostly getting by day to day watching our DVDs, playing our video games, and just loving each other. I know it sounds so sappy, and it isn't as though there aren't problems, but on the whole, I'm very happy in this relationship.
Also looking forward to being able to come back the the States in less than a month now. :)
