(no subject)
I've spent the last few days battling with some German articles for my dissertation. I'm getting there- I've nearly finished the second (short!) one- but it turns out academic German is quite difficult if you have no prior knowledge of German in any context. I'm sticking with it though, partly because I will need it in future and also because having five or six languages in my dissertation bibliography will look rather good. (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and maybe something in Latin too. Greek can wait for another time.) Glutton for punishment? Possibly.
My Miranda Sex Garden CD arrived ('Madra'), and I'm quite pleased with it. There's just the odd MSGism that makes me cringe. Considering it's the only recording I can find of some amazing madrigals, I'll put up with it.
I'm exhausted, and I've only been up for 2 1/2 hours. Bed please!
