So I went to lunch today with my uber-republican mother and a great deal of hostile madness happened.  It was ridiculous.  Basically she thinks Sara Palin is just like her and that Obama's friends are terrorists.  As you can imagine smoke began bellowing out of my ears as though I were a steam engine, and my mother's voice became more high pitched.

Needless to say she acted all disappointed in herself for raising a daughter for being so liberal.  I was like... wow... shouldn't you be happy that you raised a kid who could create her own opinions instead of just following those of the people she was raised by?  how fucked up... so now my mother is disappointed in me because of my well researched political views.  fuck that, man.  fuck that.
