My consultant ordered us to put NG tubes down each other.  I laughed, then realised he was serious.
*FACEPALM*

In other news, I've been having this huuuge mental debate re: the mongol rally over the last few weeks. On one hand, it would be SO FRIGGIN AWESOME. The route they're planning now involves me meeting them in Tehran, going through Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakstan, then Mongolia. How insane is that!!!! *claps hands together*. The deposit for my going has already been paid also... And I don't think I'd ever do the race otherwise, unless I find enough people to do it next year or something. Also, Adon will be there this time, and he said he won't ever do it again. :)

On the other hand, I've only just started earning and from preliminary costs, this isn't going to be a cheap trip. And I really want to get rid of my $45000+ HECS debt. Throw vaccinations, visas, random border guard bribery, petrol, accomodation and food into the mix (airplane tickets aside), and its looking like double what I spent on Africa/Europe trip. :S Also if I go, we'll need a second car (on the plus side, second car is good given if one gets bogged, you've got something else to pull you out).  Also, RPH leave is a nightmare. And I'm going to repay a loan my parents gave me, as they've just got another investment property they need to pay off. And my mum asked me if I could go to peru with her - which is doable on less time and I'll have more to spend.

Ok, now that I've written all that down,  I feel better about my decision. Mongolia has been on my list of places to see, since 2nd year, so maybe in a couple years I'll be able to just go there and spend a good deal of time there. Peru has also been on my list, so now I'm becoming really excited about that :).

Aside, planning secret romantic getaways is really fun - and even better when you've actually got money to throw at it.
