Yeah, that quote I started the week out with about stuff sucking? ....
it went away. ^___^
-Last weekend I carved (& reassembled) 2 AWESOME pumpkins. I've found a personal talent here. ^___^
(the little one is lloyd's design & he worked on it a little too.)
I also dried & roasted the seeds wit garlic salt, nutmeg, & cinnamon. (have i posted this already?).... *shrug*
-I thought I'd be broke & starve a little this week again, but I pulled my prosperity together, & $40 extra dollars dropped in my lap. ^_^ I have just enough to pay for gas through next week, get an occasional meal in AND see the shadow cast of REPO! Genetic Opera tonight. XD
-I did a scene in my Script Analysis class on Wednesday that I was nervous about --not because of the performing aspect, but more the "do-I-really-want-to-dig-that-deep-in-my-subconscious-right-now" aspect. The scene was about a raped teenager who goes to her ultra-conservative Christian parents to tell them she's pregnant. They go off on her, the best friend intervenes & tells them she was raped, they get all apologetic & supportive, but she's had an eye-opener about her parents & leaves them to stay with her friend & take care of her own problems.
We actually came up with this scenario based on the beats & relationships in the last scene of Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House." It wasn't my idea either, someone else had had the experience as the friend. So i volunteered to do some deep acting work with personal issues.
It came off ok & I only had to sit in the hall clinging to Maddie for 10 minutes afterward. (better than i expected. lol) ^_~
i learned some stuff from it & am happy that i faced some shit.
-Wednesday's Japanese class also kicked ass. Several of us did cosplay (kinda):
We had a lot of fun in class with dialogue/skit performances. (I took the pumpkin seeds I baked too & shared. ^_^)
-Faith & I enjoyed our weekly anime night Wednesday as well: we watched REPO! (well, I did, she hid her face for half the movie) & Noir (OMG!! a female Weiss x Nightwalker!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!). She mulled cider, but left the alcohol out for me just in case, & we nommed on good Indian food.
-Lloyd & I had a conversation about something that's been tense between us for a while. It was an unspoken thing that I didn't want to ask of him. I did. He helped me say it & not equivocate. & he agreed. it will be fixed in its proper time. ^___^ *faint of relief*
-i also sat down & puzzled out this weekend's schedule. It's Lighting Load In for the next show & I have to do 12 hours minimum in THE II on the grid, etc. between now & Sunday afternoon. There's a Dance Concert I have to see & write about, there's REPO! Shadow casting tonight & Homework MUST be obliterated. ^____^ It's all good.
PS: I got to paint a set last minute yesterday. I solved a couple of their problems WHILE they were discussing them. (mixed color & did texture to make a door look woodgrainy, finished an entire flat & cut everything in) ^__^ Lol
One of the guys is an upperclassman who's becoming a good friend, & another is my Director for "Normal." Yay bonus points.
So the awesome & me is best friends right now.
(& not THAT kind of awesome either. ^_~)
But for now, I'm exhausted & am going back to bed for a Friday morning nap. *drool*
