Wait Listed at Chicago Loyola

Feb 17, 2015 18:29

Hi all,

was really excited to log in and see I was wait listed at Loyola University Chicago for their master's in public history (I've got a bad case if impostor syndrome, despite doing hardcore academic research for the last 4 years at my job, and being a strong writer. Was expecting rejections right away!)

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone else has gone through this with the same program? I already emailed to reiterate my interest, and was emailed right back about the large number of applicants, and the small class they are accepting. What do you all think this means for any opportunities in funding?

Also, they're not my first choice, but it'd be great to go. Any tips on how to not get too anxious during this process? I hadn't even considered being wait listed as a possibility, to be honest! I thought I'd get it, or I wouldn't.
